A graduate of the University of Bologna in Electronic Engineering, Mauro is an Italian national fluent in English and Spanish. He has been a consultant since 1994, active in a number of business sectors including electronics, machine tools, gears, automotive, software systems and services. His diversified portfolio of clients has allowed him to develop a broad perspective on competitive advantage and value creation. He is Adjunct Professor at the University of Bologna (Faculty of Engineering) and has a broad teaching experience in both residential and e-learning Executive MBAs. He is Senior Faculty Member at Bologna Business School where he is Executive Director of the Open Courses in Operations Management and Lean Product Development. Since 2004 Mauro is equity partner of OPTA, a consulting company specialized in operations and logistics management for manufacturing and service industries. Mauro is an Operations Management specialist. His academic interests are in parallel with his business consultancy activities, where he has undertaken projects that include Lean Manufacturing, Supply Chain optimization, Project Management, Company Turnaround. Companies in which he has provided consultancy include Agribologna, Assa Abloy, Bonfiglioli Riduttori, Datalogic, Gollinucci, Gruppo ASA, I.M.M. Hydraulics, Gt Line, Noemalife, Nilfisk, Nobili, Open Group, Tema Sinergie, Unilog. In 1997, he received the Rotary Foundation Grant.
