Paola Manes is full professor of Private law at the University of Bologna. Professor of Comparative Private Law. Lawyer, Bologna Court. LLM King’s College London. She has been visiting professor at Brunel University London.
She has been a member of the board of directors of Unipol gruppo, Unipolbanca sp.a., Prontoassistance s.p.a. and is an independent director and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Unipolrec s.p.a. Alternate Auditor of Unicredit s.p.a. Member of the Supervisory Body of Philips Innovation s.p.a. Paola Manes is a member of the Board of Directors of Bologna Business School.

She has been one of the arbitration experts of the International Chamber of Commerce in London and has been invited as guest lecturer in several European universities such as King’s College London, Queen Mary University of London, University of Oslo, HTW University Berlin, IE University Madrid. She has participated with the University of Bologna in the Allen and Overy “World Universities Comparative Law Project”.
She is author of several articles on important national and international journals (EBLR) and of monographs on commercial law, comparative law, family law, trust law, corporate law, European insurance law. She is a member of the editorial board of the journals Contratto e Impresa, Contratto e Impresa Europa and is a referee of the journal Famiglia e diritto.
